Disability-Inclusive Development

Inclusive development ensures that persons with disabilities are actively considered in all aspects of policy-making, program design, and implementation. At Blind Youth Association Nepal (BYAN), we work to integrate disability inclusion across various development initiatives, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Our Approach

We believe that sustainable development can only be achieved when the rights and needs of persons with disabilities are fully addressed. Through training, advocacy, and collaboration, we support government agencies, development organizations, and stakeholders in creating inclusive policies and programs.

Our Key Interventions

  • Capacity Enhancement and Sensitization: We provide training and awareness sessions for policymakers, development practitioners, and service providers on disability-inclusive development.
  • Advocacy for Inclusive Policies and Programs: We engage with key stakeholders to promote the adoption of inclusive policies, ensuring disability is considered at all levels of development.
  • Collaboration and Cooperation: We work closely with organizations, government agencies, and community groups to design and implement programs that prioritize accessibility and inclusion.

Our Impact

Through our efforts, we have strengthened disability-inclusive practices in various sectors, promoting equal opportunities and accessibility in development projects. By fostering a culture of inclusion, we ensure that persons with disabilities are recognized as active contributors to society.

We remain dedicated to advocating for systemic change, ensuring that all development initiatives are inclusive and accessible for everyone.
