BYAN team had a sharing program with Mis Snyagg, Marketing and communications in Swedish Agency for Accessible Media. We had a wonderful talk about the accessibility  for Blind and supports provided by government for the people with disability.

Courtesy visit to Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) yesterday, presenting our cooperation with Blind Youth Association Nepal. The results achieved by Swedish support contradicts the trend of decreasing space for civil society. Joint effors very much facilitated by the Swedish partners contributed into making Nepal's 2015 Constitution one of the world's most progressive in terms of rights-based disability inclusion.

During the study visit we learned different educational practices and labor market  in Sweden. We learned more about the new  technology adapted in education to make it easier for the visually impaired students. Government of Sweden is providing all the necessary equipment and support for the persons with visually impairments for their better education. We went to various colleges and higher schools where blind students study. Jenifer is a blind studying in the higher secondary and she is very thankful for the government for the all the support they have been provided by the government. Blind Youth Association Nepal-BYAN and Our Member organisation Unga synskadade (visually impaired youth of sweden) had a Meeting together with Agency for participation in Sweden and discussed about policy advocacy, policy reform and effective implementation as well as Swedish disability law and its implementation. Thankful to the agency for sharing the best practices.
